A legacy is not about success, but significance. Following Jesus means living a life of significance, and this comes from spending time in the Bible and learning from the life of Jesus. When we follow Jesus, we leave a legacy that impacts those around us, such as our family and friends. Take a listen and enjoy the challenge as we find ways to grow in discipleship!

Welcome to today's podcast where we will be discussing the difference between leaving a legend and a legacy. Have you ever thought about how long you will be remembered after you pass away? Studies show that people are usually remembered for a maximum of 60 years. David, in Psalm 39:4-6, reminds us that our life is fleeting and we should focus on leaving a lasting impact.
Our legacy is how we will be remembered, the long-lasting impact of our actions and events that took place in our life. It is not always positive and we must consider what we will pass on to future generations. We will be looking at examples in the Bible of both positive and negative legacies.
The Word of God guides us towards leaving a legacy that lasts. By spending time in His Word, we can align our lives with His teachings and impact the lives of others in lasting ways. We will be diving into the story of Nehemiah in the book of the Bible named after him. Nehemiah's story shows us how to build a wall and leave a legacy that impacts those around us.
